Applications
Natural and residual materials
A side stream becomes a product.
Natural materials are the most difficult class we work with: inhomogeneous, moisture-sensitive, and they stick together immediately under heat input. At the same time the economic leverage is greatest here, because residues that were previously incinerated or used as feed are processed in development and sample projects.
One example
For press cake from oilseed processing the project aim was around 28 µm.
Documented materials
- Cellulose, lignin, oilseed press cake, sunflower seeds, dried onion, leather
- d50 values achieved between 7 and 81 µm, material-dependent
Development and sample projects in the food and feed field: NanoFract supplies a feasibility demonstration, samples and a measurement report. Manufacture and placing on the market of food and feed are carried out by the customer, who bears the responsibility under food law.
