Applications
Special coatings
Powders that do more in the process.
In many processes an application fails not because of the material but because of the particle surface: the powder does not flow, sinters incorrectly, or does not couple to the field. That is exactly where a mechanically applied layer helps.
Typical tasks
- Improve flowability and bulk density for powder-bed processes
- Set defined sintering behaviour for ceramic powders
- Increase wear resistance of printed parts via a hard-material layer
- The aim of the coating is to fix fine particles in a distributed manner on the carrier surface rather than introducing them as agglomerates
